Why We Give

Recently we asked Impact 100 members why they give. Here’s what they had to say:

To transform our community.
-  Lisa Kaminski

I don't like to waste time or money. The process that Impact 100 uses to evaluate and choose grant recipients is very efficient and thoughtful.  No wasted time--no wasted money.
-  Luann Scherer

I belong to Impact because I like the concept of giving a life altering grant to an agency rather than small amounts to several agencies. I also appreciate that the money stays in the Greater Cincinnati Community.
    -  Carole

I give to be a part of something bigger than I could do on my own. I get to feel like I gave $222,000, instead of $1,100!
  –  Cathy

I give because when I was 13 I received a Christmas present from a total stranger and felt the love that comes from a simple act of kindness. Impact allows me to feel like I’m giving Christmas presents all year long.  –  Samantha Sakemiller

I am not from Cincinnati originally and I thought this would be a good way to learn more about what non-profits are out there. Little did I know that I would find this particular non-profit so rewarding.  -  Delane Starliper

Through focus committee involvement, I have learned about all the good going on in our community, I’ve met incredible women, and I feel I’ve truly made an impact in promoting the greater good to those around me.  -  Judy Schlather

To share what I have and make a greater impact than I could on my own.  -  Elaine Suess
