Thanks to all who completed the Membership Survey in fall 2024. The results indicate we are on track in many ways and also have some opportunities to better our members’ experience.

Here are some highlights:

Member satisfaction for our 99 respondents increased to 99%, with 85% indicating they were “Extremely” or “Very” satisfied.

About 87% of respondents reported a sense of belonging, with many citing participation on a Grant Review Team or attendance at events. Connection with an experienced member who helped them get plugged into the organization also was a common contributing factor.

Of those responding, 94% reported they would recommend Impact 100 to others.

Communication via quarterly newsletters, emails, Month Ahead news updates and website had the greatest appeal.

The Annual Awards Celebration in September and Meet the Finalists event in June were the most popular events.

Opportunities for Growth

The following are ideas we hope to implement in 2025:

  • The main concern of multiple responders was that only four or seven finalists were awarded grants at the Annual Awards Celebration (AAC), leaving three finalists disappointed on that night. The Board has been working on solutions to address the process, and we will be discussing plans for the 2025 AAC at our Member Connect event on March 12.
  • Continue to engage and recruit younger members and women of color to create a more diverse membership to reflect our Tristate community.
  • Find ways to increase engagement with existing members, checking in quarterly with inactive members, especially new members
  • Increase marketing and social media presence.
  • Provide members with recruitment talking points to help them partner in our recruiting process.
