Dear Impact 100 Members!

With the tulips blooming and the Reds off to a great start, Spring is here!  Given our event and grant cycle, as always Spring is a busy time for Impact!  Congratulations to the 5 Grant Review Teams for successfully vetting and narrowing down our applicants from 120 to 31!  We have a nice balance of size, focus area and service from all who have submitted full grant applications.

At last month’s Member Connect we shared our new 3-year strategic plan.  As members of our giving circle, you are a key part of our strategy and future. Please take a minute to review the plan.

We have 4 main priorities to work on over the next 3 years to continue evolving the organization:

1.      Improve grant making experience for members and nonprofits.
We will be working on elevating our impact by evolving grant making toward more trust-based philanthropy, especially in the area of closer non-profit relationships and partnerships,  while improving the experience for grant review team members.

2.      Enhance members’ experience of engagement and belonging
The goal here is to create an environment where all members feel a sense of connection and belonging, increasing retention, engagement to increase organizational impact.

3.      Simplify and standardize our internal work for sustainability

We need to create a sustainable, scalable operating structure that reduces individual board member and volunteer workload and improves the ease of getting work done.

4.      Improve communication to members.

With member feedback, we know you want increased frequency and transparency of communication which will encourage member participation in organizational direction and change.

We are committed to this strategic plan and these priorities, and we know that if we don’t focus on these proactively, we risk losing relevance and frankly, IMPACT.  You’ll be hearing more about each of these initiatives throughout the year. As an Impact member, you are key to our continued success.  If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact me directly at President@impact100.org.

Have a great month and enjoy the warmer weather!
