This month, we will notify our Grant Finalists that they are moving on as finalists. Our Nonprofit Coordinator, Lisa Digate, will share next steps in the process with them and share resources to help them prepare.  We will introduce these amazing finalists at our Meet the Finalists Event to be held on June 30 at Memorial Hall. You can find more details about the event along with registration information in this newsletter.  Please plan to join us and bring a friend, family member, neighbor, or colleague. The only way we can grow our impact and fund more transformative grants is to spread the word about Impact 100 and encourage others to join us on our journey!   If you have ever served on a Grant Review Team, participated in a site visit, or voted at the Annual Awards Celebration, you know that it is ALWAYS difficult to select our recipients- there are SO MANY worthwhile proposals and SO MANY deserving nonprofits.  Please consider how you can “Spread the Word” and help us grow!
Our All- Volunteer Board of Directors is working diligently to lead all aspects of the organization including but not limited to the Grants Process, our Nonprofit Relations Team, our Membership and Recruiting Processes and Signature Events, and our infrastructure needs in Communications, Marketing and Public Relations, our Secretary and Treasurer, and our Technology and Sponsorship supports. In addition, through our strategic plan, we are tackling some challenging issues in our efforts to improve our processes, our non-profit connections, our organizational sustainability, and our membership experiences.
Two changes I would like to highlight are:
1) At our May Board meeting, the board approved modifications to our Vision, Mission, and Values statements. These changes reflect many months of dialogue about our ever-changing context and our focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion while maintaining a laser focus on our Mission of “collective giving to fund transformational grants that have a lasting impact in our community.”  View Impact 100 Mission Vision Values 2022
2)In order to provide meaningful and streamlined communication to our members and partners, we are updating the frequency of our newsletter to quarterly distribution beginning in July. We hope this change will create a better balance in your inbox and provide a more consistent structure to our content. Don’t worry- there won’t be dead air for three months!  Signature events and experiences like our Unplugged series and Equity Conversations will be done through direct messaging so you don’t miss exciting opportunities to engage.
Please consider engaging in one or more of our Unplugged events or join one of the Equity Conversations scheduled over the next several months.  You will meet other awesome women of Impact 100 and learn about our community, community needs, and the amazing work of our nonprofit grant recipients.  Also, please SAVE THE DATE for the ANNUAL AWARDS CELEBRATION on Tuesday, September 20 at MUSIC HALL.  You won’t want to miss this very special time of celebration!
Warm regards,
Kathy Thornton
