The momentum we are feeling is real, and we are not alone. In a new report on the 11 Trends in Philanthropy for 2025 by The Dorothy A Johnson Center for Philanthropy, the #1 Trend is a prediction that collective giving will double in the next 5 years. Read more about why in this report. We have an opportunity to ride that wave!
Our momentum was in full view at the Member Connect event held March 12. Our focus on “Building Community” highlighted what makes Impact 100 special – women coming together to create transformational change in our region. The energy in the room was palpable as we connected with each other and recommitted to our shared purpose. Thank you to everyone who attended and to our incredible planning committee who made the event such a success.
During the event, I had the privilege of introducing our Guiding Principles, which lay the foundation for what makes Impact 100 unique. These principles aren’t just words on a page – they’re the embodiment of who we are and what we stand for:
We…
- Empower women to be informed philanthropists and learn about nonprofits addressing needs in our community.
- Award large transformational grants to local projects and organizations.
- Advocate for equity, representation of those served, and partnerships in our grant-making.
- Ensure that 100% of membership dollars go to grants and awards as selected by the members.
- Invite, welcome, respect, and connect women of all backgrounds.
- Listen, learn, and innovate for continuous improvement.
These principles guide our work and decisions as we move forward with our strategic priorities for 2025. They reflect both our proud traditions and our commitment to evolve in response to community needs.
As we move into the busy Spring season, I encourage you to stay engaged with Impact 100. Whether through participating in a Grant Review Team, attending our educational event, or simply sharing our story with friends and colleagues, your involvement makes a difference. Remember, our strength lies in our collective voice and action.
With gratitude,
Janet Collins
President, Impact 100
