We can’t wait to see you – really see you!

Just as the Brood X cicadas emerged this spring after 17 years, we are excited as we begin to emerge from almost 17 months of virtual meetings and get togethers. We are thrilled that we will be in person celebrating this year’s Annual Awards Celebration (AAC) on September 8.

Please join us Wednesday evening, September 8 at the Music Hall Ballroom for Dinner by the Bite, to engage with representatives from our six finalists, and to celebrate Impact 100’s 20th anniversary.  More information about registration and the program will be available later this month.

Members have also been connecting in person with our Unplug with Impact events: hikes at local parks with an update for recent Impact 100 recipients.  Last month, we enjoyed seeing members and their friends at Burnet Woods and Otto Armleder Park learning about Cincinnati Works and the St. Vincent DePaul Charitable Pharmacy.  Please check out the remaining Unplug events this month and in August in this month’s newsletter.

The third year of our Equity Cohort conversations started late last month and will continue through October.  The three Equity conversations will run consecutively so you may participate in one or all conversations this year.    The Color of Law, The Black American Tree Project and Caste are this year’s topics.  Please see the article in this month’s newsletter for more details.

20th Anniversary news: Over 40 members began meeting last month to review applications for the Next Step Awards. Our 20th anniversary celebration of awarding a total of $60,000 to small nonprofits in amounts ranging for $7,500 to $20,000.  For more information about the awards and criteria, click on this link: Next Step Awards Thank you to Delane Starliper, chair of Next Step Award review committee, and Portia Dyrenforth, Rose Palmieri, and Janet Sullivan who will be assisting Delane and all the volunteers during this thorough and time sensitive process. Next Step Award recipients will be announced in August and introduced at the AAC September 8.

As you begin to emerge/transition to more in person activities please contact us if you’re interested in assisting with the AAC event – in the weeks prior to the event or that evening—we welcome your help and interest.  Please contact us at president@impact100.org
