Flexibility, Give, Get: Three Reasons to Volunteer

At our 2018 Membership Announcement, Impact 100 Board Member and Secretary, Becky Scheeler offered her personal reflection on volunteering her time through Impact 100.  We hope it inspires you, too!
Flexibility:  you can just write your check for your membership fee, you can give at one event (one and done) or you can give a couple hours per month throughout the year.  You can front load your year with a Focus Area Committee or you can make calls to members at the end of the year asking if they plan to continue their membership.  There is a place and a need for you.

Give we need diverse opinions and ideas on all committees.  This ensures we have the most progressive and innovative region.  We can only achieve that if you Give of your talents and time.  Whether you are a stay at home mom, a PhD, or a CEO, we each have experiences and strengths that can be shared with other women in our collective giving network.

Get:  I find that every time I connect with these ladies I get way more than I give.  I have learned from nurses, attorneys and grandmothers.  You can learn to read a financial statement, listen to experts talk about grants, and better understand the needs of our community.  Where else can you have fun and learn without any pressure?
