Project Description

Project:
Workshop Expansion

Grant Awarded:
$101,000

May We Help’s mission is to engineer dreams: highly-skilled volunteers create customized assistive devices for special needs individuals, enabling them to achieve independence and to pursue their passions. The Impact 100 grant purchased machinery for the newly renovated workshop to facilitate the design and manufacture of assistive devices for those living with special needs, enabling the creation of over 100 unique devices per year.

By equipping the workshop with a full range of high-quality industrial equipment including plastics equipment, metalworking equipment and a laser scanning system, May We Help will reduce costs by reducing necessity of rental of third-party-owned equipment, increase capacity by completing projects in a timelier and efficient manner, and create an environment where volunteers can recruit, train and collaborate with others.
