Safe Haven Farm’s mission is to provide a variety of meaningful living, working, learning and leisure activities in a safe and accepting farm environment, where every individual is respected as a valued and contributing community member. The Impact 100 grant funds will be used to renovate the original Barn and to build indoor and outdoor riding arenas.
Safe Haven Farms works o meet the unique needs of adult children on the autism spectrum by providing a variety of meaningful living, working, learning and leisure activities in a safe environment where each person is respected as a valued and contributing community member. Safe Haven Farms will use their Impact 100 grant to help launch a Therapeutic Horse Riding Program. The purpose of this riding program is to increase attention, concentration, learning and verbal skills of participants. The program is designed to build a bond between the rider and the horse that fosters improved social and communication skills of the rider.
