Pro Bono Partnership of Ohio is a proud sponsor of Impact 100, and we’re thrilled to shine a light on their organization and their reason for sponsoring Impact 100.

Can you tell us a bit about your organization and what you do?

Powered by attorney volunteers, Pro Bono Partnership of Ohio (PBPO) strengthens our community by providing free business legal services and education to nonprofits. We recruit, connect, and support attorney volunteers to donate their time and expertise on behalf of our nonprofit clients, amplifying their ability to make a positive impact on our community. Our nonprofit clients then have access to high-quality legal services and can focus their limited resources on their missions.

What inspired you to become a sponsor of Impact 100, and how does our mission align with your values?

We love Impact 100! PBPO has 425+ nonprofit clients, many of which are Impact 100 grantees. We strive to share our services with as many nonprofits in Southwest Ohio as possible, and Impact 100 is a wonderful way to connect with many nonprofits that fit within our client criteria. Impact 100 helps PBPO expand its positive ripple effect of service in our region.

What is your favorite Impact 100 moment or experience so far?

While we love attending the annual awards ceremony, our favorite part is getting to meet 1-1 with the amazing nonprofit finalists to run them through a comprehensive Legal Checkup. It’s a chance for these nonprofit leaders to take a step back from their day-to-day operations to think strategically about potential legal issues and establish strong policies and procedures.

How has partnering with Impact 100 influenced your organization’s approach to community engagement or philanthropy?

Impact 100 has allowed PBPO to connect with many local nonprofits doing important “boots on the ground” work in our community, for example, empowering survivors of gender-based violence, providing diapers to families in need, and much more. While these organizations are focused on their vital missions, PBPO jumps in to support the organization with its business legal needs, connecting them to highly skilled subject matter attorney volunteers, enabling them to divert their limited resources to their work.
