The Young Philanthropist Scholarship Program, funded by the Charlotte R. Schmidlapp Fund and other donors, empowers passionate young women to experience the joy of collective giving.

Who Should Apply?

Impact 100 is looking for passionate, community-minded women who meet the following criteria:

  • You are not a current or former Impact 100 member (previously sponsored applicants are welcome).
  • You’ll be between 18 and 39 years old on Dec. 31 of the application year.
  • You have a heart for philanthropy and a drive to make a difference.
  • You’re ready to commit to contributing annually and stepping into a $500 membership by year 4:
    • Year 1: Young Philanthropist contributes $125
    • Year 2: Young Philanthropist contributes $250
    • Year 3: Young Philanthropist contributes $375 and graduates from the program at the end of the year
    • Year 4: Young Philanthropist pays for any of Impact 100’s membership levels – $500, $1,000 or $1,500.
  • You’re excited to be an active member of a committee—Recruitment, Membership, Communications, Marketing, or Grant Review Team—each year.
  • You’re able to attend the Young Philanthropist Orientation in January and Annual Awards Celebration in September.
  • You’ll complete a brief annual survey reflecting on your experiences.
  • You’re eager to be inspired and connect with other members by attending quarterly signature events like Member Connect, Meet the Finalists, and Giving Tuesday

Other Ways You Can Support the Program

This program welcomes individuals who are inspired by philanthropy but may need a little financial lift to begin their journey. With scholarship support, participants can step into membership, become part of our giving community, and grow into confident contributors over four years. Impact 100 proudly funds four to six new Young Philanthropists annually, helping to build a vibrant sisterhood of future changemakers.
