Too many low-income families in our region face critical home repair needs—often waiting weeks for help due to a shortage of skilled trade professionals.
With a 2023 Impact 100 grant, People Working Cooperatively (PWC) launched an expanded Workforce Development Program. The funding created new training modules to equip individuals with in-demand skills—like carpentry, weatherization, HVAC, and accessibility retrofits—building a bridge between community need and workforce opportunity.
Through this initiative, PWC created a ripple effect—more skilled workers, faster service delivery, and better outcomes for families. Now, staff can address multiple issues during a single home visit, saving time and improving lives.
See how Impact 100’s investment in bold, transformative projects promotes thriving communities throughout the Greater Cincinnati region.
